A recent abstract I felt inclined to do. It was after a practice session with my band. It's controlled in some areas, yet wild, quirky and colorful in others, just like the jam sesh:-)
The spirals and circles represent patterns and rhythms found in compositions, while the colors evoke the energy and emotion in musical expression. Music can be both controlled and structured or completely spontaneous, and just like this piece, my band often bounces back and forth between the two. This is what connects and moves us and is the joyful meaning behind this piece. Original painting and prints are available.
