This painting is a tribute to my dear friend Agnieszka. It captures more than physical beauty. It suggests character: a woman who is elegant, self-possessed, and strong despite the weight of her past. The stylization allows her to become both a portrait and a symbol—representing resilience, grace, and individuality. I've created a tension in the piece: she is poised and stylish, yet her slightly tilted head and heavy-lidded eyes hint at a life that has not always been easy. This subtle emotional ambiguity gives the portrait its narrative power. She feels resilient—someone who carries her experiences with quiet dignity.
