Like all of my portraits, "Marguerite" is partly autobiographical. Although she's not a literal self-portrait, she embodies an emotional truth—reflecting the strength and quiet resilience that come from lived experience. Her expression is calm but self-possessed, suggesting inner strength rather than overt drama. In my usual style - her elongated neck, exaggerated features and upright posture reinforce the sense of dignity and endurance. She is one of my favorites.
Although painted in a square format, I've made fine art prints available in multiple sizes and formats.
